db audioware has released two new dynamics processing plug-ins: Sidechain Compressor and Sidechain Gate (both Mac/Win; $84).
Both plug-ins feature the company's Universal Sidechains, which provide multitrack sidechaining in most audio programs running on Mac OS X and Windows, independent of any host routing.
Other notable features include new compression and gating algorithms; EQ and Shape controls in the sidechain; compressor auto gain with brickwall limiter; dual metering for clear visual feedback; Listen mode for monitoring sidechain signal; MIDI control with MIDI Learn; and 64-bit internal resolution that supports sample rates up to 192 kHz.
Sidechain Compressor and Sidechain Gate are available in VST and AU formats for Mac OS X (Universal Binaries), and VST format for Windows, with VST 2.4 support.
