Koblo APS has announced Koblo Studio (Mac/Win), a free, open-source DAW built around the Koblo Web 2.0 community site (Beta).
Koblo Studio lets you create, edit, and perform music. More importantly, however, it allows you to share and compare your work with other Koblo Studio users at the company's Web site.
At the Koblo Marketplace, you can buy and sell plug-ins, tracks, complete projects, loops, beats, and more. And according to the manufacturer, sometime in the near future, users will be able to purchase remix sessions from famous artists and find track packs in which to build compositions around, all via Koblo Studio. Furthermore, the Community section of the Koblo Web site allows you to interact with other Koblo Studio users, musicians, and music labels.
