Image Line Software has released FL Studio 8. This version of the DAW features new plug-ins, an improved interface, a multilink MIDI learn system, and more.
FL Studio 8 adds FL SynthMaker, a FL Studio Native version of Outsim's SynthMaker plug-in development application. Using FL SynthMaker, you can now create your own virtual instruments, effects, and MIDI dashboards. You can also use them in FL Studio and share them with other SynthMaker users, without having to write basic code. FL SynthMaker comes with Producer and XXL editions of FL Studio 8.
Those two editions also include Slicex, a drum loop slicer and re-arranging tool. Slicex cuts song and percussion samples into pieces and makes them independently playable from the Piano roll or controller. It also offers playback.
FL Studio 8 comes with a suite of new plug-ins: Fruity Limiter (single-band compressor/limiter), Wave Candy (audio analysis and visualization tool with Oscilloscope), Spectrum Analyser and Peak meter, and Soundgoodizer (stereo “maximizer-enhancer” based on the Maximus sound processing engine).
With this version, revisions have been made to a number of plug-ins, such as Edison, an audio-editing and recording tool now capable of audio to MIDI analysis. Additional improvements to the DAW include a new envelope sequencer, a better interface and FL engine, a new background score logger, a multilink controller function, and a mixer track system for creating visual effects.
The DAW comes bundled with demo versions of Maximus (multiband mastering maximizer), Poizone 2 (subtractive performance synthesizer), Morphine (additive synthesizer), and Toxic Biohazard (FM synthesizer).
