PreSonus has added Cakewalk Sonar support for the FaderPort USB automation and transport controller. The FaderPort ($229) is a single-fader controller that can write single and group channel volume, pan, and mute automation. The controller is loaded with an Alps fader that utilizes a dual-servo motorized drive belt system, and its touch-sensitive, 100 mm-long throw fader delivers 1024-step resolution.

The FaderPort, which has been shipping since November 2006, is currently compatible with Digidesign Pro Tools, Steinberg Cubase, Steinberg Nuendo, Apple Logic Pro, and now Cakewalk Sonar.
